KAL-TURE

Westernization is the buzzword, and changing culture is the reality here,
But at the same time, hues and cries of preserving it are everywhere.

There was a time, when Joint Family was considered an honor,
Now only Nuclear Family can be seen, as everyone wants to become his own owner.

These days dresses are getting shorter and shorter and girls are becoming skinny,
Now on the beaches you can see unprecedented number of girls going out in bikini.

Lets talk about the language, which is changing day by day,
Now 'chaddi' is an English word, and everyone knows the meaning of GAY.

Spelling of 'you' has changed to 'U'.
And instead of writing 'to' we do write '2'.

Are we losing it, or is it getting evolved?,
It seems to be a mystery, which has not yet been solved.

Think of time, when language was not fully developed,
What would it have been, if our ancestor have kept the same time preserved.

It was never the language which received the accolades of any,
But the ideas, conveyed through language, which were treated holy by many.

Language is nothing, but just a means of communication,
Only the appropriate one should be used, which leaves no room for a different interpretation.

Language is a part of culture, a very useful tool,
Speaking in English to an ignorant villager, cannot be considered cool.

Now we should stop looking for old tradition, 'coz it is something we can never find,
And this should be understood, that change is happening only for betterment of Mankind.

There is nothing which can make this culture dissolve,
It is the way, how this culture is gonna evolve.
