Happy Anniversary Year 6

 I woke up midnight, You were not sleeping by side;

I got up and sat on bed, Putting the dirty clothes and books aside;

I switched  on bed light, Sending away the darkness  to hide; 

I looked around, No where  could  I find my beautiful bride;

On wall I saw that, And my gaze stared at it with pride;

I flicked the lights off, Under the blankets did I slide.

I tried, But sleep didn't  came;

I remembered, The times, we played  those game;

The dance, we did, That put us to fame;

The fun we had,  In choosing each other's  nicknames;

And the fights, For which, we put on each other the blame;

But tonight, It is not all the same;

For tonight, My arms cannot do you enframe;

I'm  not good, Of this "keeping-house-in-order" art;

You are being missed, Terribly from the start;

And the kid, Who has become handsome & smart;

And the morning kiss and cuddle, With which our day used to start;

It's  31 Jan, Double delight is today's  part;

Its your birthday, Happy birthday sweetheart;

But I'm lamenting, That on our wedding anniversary we are kept apart;

On our wedding anniversary, we are kept apart....kept apart......
